Do we create too many variables? How many variables is just enough?

Experimentation within systems can lead to inefficiencies, especially in an infinitely flexible design tool, and as brands scale we run the risk of decreasing adoption through complexity.

Luis will ask a series of questions to prod and poke the audience into question whether they do need all those variables in their systems.

### **About the speaker**

Luis is a designer advocate at Figma who spends an inordinate amount of time thinking about the best way to structure and name components and variables within systmes. In his spare time he does the same thing and should definitely spend more time outside.
